Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.4) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux I attended the IT Forum 2002 in Copenhagen and saw a demo of outlook 11. There were some really nice things. The window was organized in three "columns". To left was the folders list (and some extrastuff), in the middle was the list of emails. This was organized that every email had 2 rows for subject, date, sender etc. To the right was email itself. The whole arrangement made it possible to present more information on the screen. I would like to see a way to make it possible to cusomize the 3 parts of the kmail window and a posibility to show more than one line in the email list. thanks
KNode already does something very close to this--it lets you move the panes to any location you prefer. It doesn't collapse long lines into 2 rows as the poster suggests, but it does allow for complete user customization of the layout. Perhaps some code reuse is possible here?
Using more than one line per mail in the message list is already covered by bug 81272.
And the three-pane-side-by-side thing is already covered by bug 61671. Transfer your votes to the appropriate bug if you want.

That is intended I think. You only have 100 votes, and the two things mentioned here are separate features. Though luck :)
