Version: 1.5 (using KDE 3.1.0) Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20 I really like the layouts that kmail currently has and the nice buttons you can use to choose. But, the layout I want is not there...you see I have a large screen (1600x1200) and would like a wide column view listing the contents of the folder as the full-width top frame, then the bottom being divided, on the left being the folder list, and the right being divided into the message on the top and the MIME tree on the bottom. So I could request a button for this, but I'm not. What I would rather see is the addition of a 'Custom...' button, with a dialog that would let me arrange the elements however I like. The Bat! (an email program for windows) shows a tab on the bottom of the message for each MIME piece, i.e. message.txt and message.htm -- so then I can set my default to non-html, but can easily switch without a space-consuming MIME tree such as kmail has. Personally, I like the MIME tree better, but the tabs are easier for most users who don't need the addition columns of details that the MIME tree gives.
