SUMMARY The cursor snaps up into the left corner when it hits the borders of the screen while controlling the cursor via KDE Connect on my phone. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable and pair Android phone with desktop PC, KDE Connect 2. Have PC connected to a single monitor 3. Set PC resolution to 4K (3840×2160) at 200% global scale 4. In the Android app, use external input option(?) to move the mouse to the edge of the screen. 5. Move the cursor into one of four borders of the screen. OBSERVED RESULT It looks like when the cursor hit a border, the x and y coordinates of the cursor were divided by 2. I'm unsure whether it has to do with my monitor being 4K or 200% global scale, but I suspect that to be the issue. EXPECTED RESULT I expected that the cursor would move along the border of the screen, not divide its distance from the top left corner by 2. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm running SteamOS on my PC, version 3.7.15
It seems there are multiple reports caused by the same issue. The common factor seems to be the scaling on x11. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=507134 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486786 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416931

Even though the other reports mention X11, SteamOS uses Wayland, right? I can't reproduce it on wayland.

Came into contact with this bug as well when trying to use KDE connect with my steam deck to control the mouse with my phone.
