Description gudvinr+kde 2025-09-11 15:20:13 UTC
SUMMARY

Night light currently only tints blue light. However, if screen blasts at 100% brightness, it's still extremely bad for your eyes in dark room.

In the same way night light controls tint, it could also control brightness through DDC.

Couple of things to be aware of:
- Day brightness might not necessarily be 100%
- There could be multiple displays with different brightness low/high

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Sit behind your PC way past bed time

OBSERVED RESULT

Eyes are dry, you are very sad.

EXPECTED RESULT

Good eye health without manual brightness control. That still leaves bad habit of staying for too late but you can't fix that in code.
