Created attachment 184746 [details] The color selector Dear Developers and Artists, Thank you for the marvel you do... --- Apologies, but to clarify, what might cause Gwenvew to not allow to select the color for drawing during an active annotation process? I've clarified at lovely Libera IRC channel #kde, and someone responded that they don't have the same issue on their end, though they specified a different version, 25.04.3, at the moment of 2025-09-03. They also stated that their graphics API was Wayland. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open any image; 2. Activate annotation mode; 3. Try changing color for drawing by clicking on the color selector. OBSERVED RESULT The color selector does not appear. EXPECTED RESULT The color selector appears. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kubuntu 25.04 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.3 Kernel Version: 6.14.0-28-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i5-10500 CPU @ 3.10GHz Memory: 31.2 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 570 Series ADDITIONAL INFORMATION There was a suggestion on the IRC channel to try recreating the same case withing a session of a new User, and the same exact issue was observed. --- Best and kind regards

I've tried to search for the same issue, yet failed to find any! I was even confused to not find anything regarding such a likely popular feature. I've also clarified at the repository regarding the package: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwenview/+question/822453
