Created attachment 183819 [details] Clock widget settings SUMMARY I would like to be able to set the lockscreen clock to 24 hour without changing my locale. I'm an American who, unlike other Americans, uses 24 hour clock on all my devices. The desktop clock widget allows the user to easily change to a 24 hour clock without changing the locale, but if there is a way on the lock screen I haven't found it yet. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open lock screen settings 2. Try to set 24 hour clock time display OBSERVED RESULT No setting exists. EXPECTED RESULT Setting exists that allows the user to switch to 24 hour clock time display. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.15.8-200.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1365U Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (31.0 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 21HES0E800 System Version: ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have attached the dialogue for the desktop clock widget I described for clarity.
This seems worth considering
You don't need to change the entire locale to change your time formatting systemwide; you can change just the time formatting in System Settings > Region & Language > Time > Modify. Is there a reason why that doesn't work for you?
