Created attachment 182662 [details] the new address bar in the edit mode SUMMARY The new address bar, introduced earlier this year with some controversy surrounding it, looks ugly in the edit mode if Oxygen is used – and not only. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Switch the system window theme to Oxygen. 2. Start Dolphin. 3. Enter the edit mode of the address bar, either by clicking on it or by pressing F6. OBSERVED RESULT See the attachment. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The widget is too big no matter if the font size is set to 10 pt (default) or 11 pt (what I use). The issue can be also seen here with other theme in use (the look of the "default" mode has been changed since then, but not the edit mode): https://discuss.kde.org/t/dolphin-file-manager-location-bar-change/31884/4
Should be fixed already. Update your KDE frameworks. I have version: 6.15.0 and Dolphin 25.04.2 and can't reproduce it anymore. If you still can when you update, then reopen the ticket or report a new one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 501900 ***
I also have KDE Frameworks 6.15.0 and Dolphin 25.04.02. ``` $ kinfo Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20250623 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.14.0-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 24 × AMD Ryzen 9 7900 12-Core Processor Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (30.5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon Pro W5500 Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon Graphics $ dolphin --version dolphin 25.04.2 ```
