Description Maize 2025-02-22 02:03:41 UTC
When using a wacom, the previews of the applications on hover will not fade after moving mouse away until the mouse is placed back on top of empty space on the application panel or until a mouse is used. This occludes areas of applications and when the mouse hovers or slides over it it causes this effect even if not deliberate (for example. i go to the edge of the screen to access a part of a program close to the bar, but accidentally hover over the bar it will cause this.).

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. wacom intuous
2. applications can be windowed or full screen
3. use wacom to hover over icons

OBSERVED RESULT
Window hover previews get stuck on the screen

EXPECTED RESULT
should fade away like they do with a mouse when not hovered over.

Thank you for the bug report!

Please note that Plasma 6.2.5 will not be supported for much longer by KDE; supported versions are 5.27., and 6.3 or newer.

Please upgrade to the latest version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one.

Are you using the Wayland session or the X11 session? Does the issue happen in both of them?

Hello, im using wayland, and only happens in wayland, x11 i cannot use my wacom due to the mismatching resolutions it causes an offset in the pen by like 200 pixels.
But in wayland that issue isnt present, but the current issue is where the hover over the bar icons previewer wont go away unless i hover over the empty space in the bar it self.

Something to note on the position of the bar (there are two positions): at home, the bar is on the left side of the right hand screen not on the bottom.
If i take my laptop to work the bar is on the right side of the left screen

You probably dont need it but here is my system setup for reference and clarity, i have a laptop with 2 separate attached screens and 1 4k inbuilt screen (this is turned off at all times, lid not closed). (work and home setups are the same, though desk is in ta different corner so bar position changes depending on work or home.)
The system configuration is this:

[screen 0 - 3840 x 2160 - OFF] -> [screen 1 - 2560x1080 ] -> [screen 2 - 2560 x 1080]

uname - 6.11.0-108014-tuxedo

apt-cache show mutter | grep Version
Version: 46.2-1ubuntu0.24.04.5
Version: 46.0-1ubuntu9

Hardware:
RTX 3080
Intel 10900k
64gb ram
Intuous Pro Small PTH-460

pretty much everything works as intended, i rarely have any bugs, but this one is one of the few, hope that clarifies what im running and gives you a clear idea how it is setup.
