SUMMARY
Editing messages does not actually work. After having edited a message, the updated text is shown, but after a restart, the original version is displayed again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Send some message
2. Edit it
3. Restart the program
4. See the message in it's original, un-edited state

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1

Can you please start dolphin from Konsole and see if it provides any output, if it does, please paste it in here as a comment.

I can confirm this has been happening for a while, but haven't gotten around to figuring out why it happens yet
