STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Kwrite. 2. Settings -> Toolbars Shown -> Uncheck both. 3. Ctrl-N (to open a new window) OBSERVED RESULT The new window has both the main and hamburger toolbars. EXPECTED RESULT The new window has the same toolbars as I selected, i.e. none. Likewise, even if I set up only a single instance of kwrite, then close it and restart it - these toolbars keep coming back! (It's somewhat annoying, given the shortage of vertical space - and that the main toolbar merely replicates functions from the menu-bar, making it entirely redundant.) This is on Ubuntu 24.10.
True. Second window will not have the settings and if one closes such a window last that wrong config is saved.

This issue persists on newer versions of KDE Plasma. I have also noticed how this not only affects KWrite, but Kate as well, leading me to think it's a problem shoved in the depths of Kate and not exclusive to KWrite.
