Description András Manţia 2002-10-14 21:33:38 UTC
Version: 1.90 (using KDE 3.0.8 (KDE 3.1 beta2))
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-4GB

Hi,

I have an SB Live soundcard. In the KDE 3.1 beta2 (actually today's CVS) I cannot change the volumes for any channel. They are set to maximum and changing/muting them does nothing. Other apps (like kscd, kmixapplet) can change the volumes correctly.
The mixer is also detected 4 times, but this may be solved by changing the settings is KControl->Sound Server.
Also the problem was not present in KDE 3.0.x.

I hope that this will be fixed til the 3.1 final comes out.

Andras

Duplicate bug. Please see bug #48889.
And PLEASE check whether KDE3.1.1 (or KDE3.1) fixes the problem.

Chris
