Sample of new text being written over old text.

SUMMARY

If you try to rename a file or folder on the Desktop, it still shows the old text as you try to write over it. It is very difficult to see what you're writing.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right-click on any file on Desktop (not through Dolphin, but actual desktop) and select Rename
2. Write in new name

OBSERVED RESULT
Old text still visible as you're writing over it.

EXPECTED RESULT
You expect old text to disappear as you start writing new text.

Thank you for the bug report!

I can't reproduce this in 6.1.3 on Tuxedo OS. Could I ask you to try the same thing with a new user account (i.e. default settings) to narrow down the potential causes?

Hi,

Creating a new user (with no changes in settings) on Endeavor OS and the problem persists.

I haven't tried other distros, I don't have other machines to try it on at the moment.

Thank you for reporting back!

I tried it on the Endeavour live cd and cannot reproduce it there either (with Plasma 6.1.0). This might also be a graphics card/driver issue. Marking this as reported as I have been unable to reproduce.
