Created attachment 171769 [details] journalctl log of the day i made the bug report SUMMARY Brightness is set to random percentages after suspend or reboot/shutdown, sometimes im able to set the brightness up to 100 in KDE other times the brightness slider is broken and i have to change it manually in the monitor. Attached is the result of the following command `journalctl -S 2024-07-18`. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start up computer 2. Log in 3. Set brightness to 100 4. Wait for system to go in standby 5. today it was one of those sessions in which the brightness slider wasnt working.
To narrow down the problem, we need some more information: - How is the monitor connected? - Has changing screen brightness via Plasma ever worked? - Can you paste the output of `kscreen-doctor -o`? Thanks. This could be a duplicate of bug 492481.
