Created attachment 171384 [details] I drag the folder from the bottom to the middle of the screen, and then it snaps back to the bottom. +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #479085 +++ This attachment for bug #479085 also shows another issue that I've been experiencing in which files/folders move back to their previous position. Please notice when, for the first time, I drag the folder from the bottom to the middle of the screen, and then it snaps back to the bottom. Ignore me shoving the folder at the top, that is the issue #479085
I was able to reproduce this on KDE Neon - Wayland 1. I have a file near the top of the Desktop 2. I dragged it to the middle of the screen 3. It reverted to the original position after I released the mouse This happens sometimes, not every time. It's fairly easy to reproduce if you just drag an icon around multiple times KDE Neon Operating System: KDE neon 6.0 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Kernel Version: 6.5.0-41-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 2 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz Memory: 3.8 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: llvmpipe Manufacturer: QEMU Product Name: Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009) System Version: pc-q35-8.2
This issue is very, VERY annoying for any user who drags and organizes files on the desktop constantly.

I don't think that this bug has a connection with bug 479085 now that the video showcasing both bugs happening at once has been replaced.
I'm actually surprised this bug is still present, since it should annoy casual users by a lot.
