STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Download the latest version of KStars on a Intel Mac under macOS Big Sur 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Try to mount the dmg : no avail EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: macOS Big Sur Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I installed macOS Big Sur on a brand new SSD and I downloaded the versions of KStars 3.6.9, 3.7.0, 3.7.1 There is no way to install KStars ≥ 3.6.8. (3.6.8 works perfectly) When I double-click on the kstars-3.7.1.dmg I get a system warning : The following disk images couldn't be opened kstars-3.7.1.dmg no mountable file systems As a résumé : - KStars ≤ 368 works perfectly on my Macs - the dmg of KStars 369 and the dmg of KStars 370 mount as they should placing KStars app in the Applications folder. BUT KStars app is not functional : an alert appears saying "Check with the developer to make sure kstars works with this version of macOS" - the dmg of KStars 371 has the problem described above
Thanks for the bug report. This looks like the issue that was reported in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488382 According to that issue, the developers have re-uploaded the DMG file.
