We re-uploaded the DMG, can you try again?
The SHA256 checksum of the last one I uploaded today is 494dd07e19387c19b34b1d71549ccd25f53b94a66fe5bbc2cd24aef96a4818f9 Does it match your download?

Marking Confirmed since there was another bug report from another user
Confirmed
After the report of TraceyC : According to that issue, the developers have re-uploaded the DMG file. Can you re-download it and try again? If it's still not working, please make a comment in 488382. I re-download the dmg but a double-click on it shows a Warning : The following disk image can't be opened
I wanted to confirm that I just tried to download the file from https://kstars.kde.org and received the same error "The disk you attached was not readable by this computer." Information for the file reports 172,167,168 bytes (185.1 MB on disk) if that is helpful.
The comments I made in another thread "The latest KStars versions (369, 370, 371) can't be installed on macOS Big Sur" (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488499) might be useful to this thread. This is why I report them below: I installed macOS Big Sur on a brand new SSD. I downloaded versions of KStars 3.6.9, 3.7.0, 3.7.1 There is no way to run them. Only versions KStars ≤ 3.6.8 work perfectly. When I double-click on the kstars-3.7.1.dmg I get a system warning : The following disk images couldn't be opened kstars-3.7.1.dmg no mountable file systems As a résumé : - KStars ≤ 368 works perfectly on my Macs - the dmg of KStars 369 and the dmg of KStars 370 mount as they should allowing to install kstars.app in the Applications folder BUT kstars.app is not functional : an alert appears saying "Check with the developer to make sure kstars works with this version of macOS" - the dmg of KStars 371 has the problem described above
Can you please test again now and try to download latest DMG?
Created attachment 170733 [details] New dmg test The new dmg mounts and opens correctly. The app can be installed. The simulator seems to work. On my setup KStars doesn't recognise the connected devices. It says : "2024-06-21T10:53:28 Starting INDI services..."
Created attachment 170736 [details] attachment-1757033-0.html Hi Jasem, Here is my test of the new dmg. The new dmg mounts and opens correctly. The app can be installed. The simulator seems to work. On my setup KStars doesn't recognise the connected devices. It says : "2024-06-21T10:53:28 Starting INDI services..." I attach the log. The DMG file mounted and I was able to install the app with no problem. KStars also launched with no problem (in fact it seemed to remove at least one of the steps I usually have to navigate because of the developer being unknown to the OS). Ekos connected to all my devices normally. It is daylight here at the moment so only did some limited testing (moved the mount, shot a short test sequence) but it all seems to work. I'm running KStars on a Mac connecting to StellarmateOS 1.8.3 (latest update as of June 21) at the mount. I'll test more when I've got dark skies but, for now, thanks!
I re-downloaded the DMG and re-install the app. I confirm : On my setup KStars doesn't recognise the connected devices. It says : "2024-06-21T10:53:28 Starting INDI services...". Nothing else happens. Everything works fine with KStars 368 iMac Intel, Big Sur
Do all of your devices use drivers from the 3rd Party Repo? https://github.com/indilib/indi-3rdparty I noticed today that the 3rd Party recipe dependency was missing from the craft KStars build recipe, so it would make sense that those drivers don't work since they were not built. But do you have any devices that use drivers from the main INDI repo? https://github.com/indilib/indi. I would expect those drivers to still work properly.
Here are the drivers I'm using : indi_celestron_gps indi_maxdomeii indi_microtouch_focus indi_pegasus_ppba indi_sqm_weather indi_asi_ccd I have created 3 custom drivers (corresponding to the 3 FL I'm using). This worked fine till now. Because I thought this might be the problem, I created a new profile without custom driver. It didn't work either. By the way I couldn't find the MaxDome II driver from the list

Rob, Did you notice that the size of kstars 3.7.1 dmg has strongly diminished compared to the previous versions ? kstars 3.7.1 dmg = 172.2 MB kstars 3.6.8 dmg = 291.7 MB This could be the reason why the drivers can't be loaded.
Yes, I believe those are mostly 3rd party drivers. And the fact that the app is much smaller is reflective of the fact that the 3rd party drivers were not built in this build. I told Eric and he is making changes.
Hi there, The DMG posted today should work on MacOS 10.15 and newer and includes all INDI drivers including the 3rd Party ones. Please let me know if it works for you. www.indilib.org/jdownloads/kstars/kstars-3.7.1.dmg Thanks, Rob
Hi Rob, The latest dmg mounts and installs KStars 3.7.1 well on my Mac Intel running Big Sur. All my equipment connects as well (dome, scope, power, focuser, weather and cameras). Thanks to the KStars team !
Excellent, glad to hear it!
