Created attachment 169313 [details] crazy things happening There is something really broken. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486778 Here I created an empty panel on the right side (something that worked well on Plasma 5). (I want to have it as an extra toolbar that autohides). This is a default empty panel, with no elements, all I did is move it to the right. I dont have an external monitor attached and the main panel is default (but nonfloating). What happens: 1. There is no way to move widgets from one panel to another, well, that is probably fine 2. So I move them to the desktop instead, enter desktop edit mode and try to drop them on the empty panel (I need to do that as otherwise the widgets lose specific configurations, like the notes lose their content) 3. The widgets are probably not part of the panel, but scaled too large and displayed on the wrong side. see attached screencast, this is really strange.
Created attachment 169314 [details] widgets cannot be moved unless the user removes the panel
adding widgets via the "+" worked normally. Note that the panel also overlapped with the main one, until I resized it to fit content and moved it to the bottom, now it doesnt overlay anymore.

Unfortunately the screen recording shows like 5 different potential bugs. In the future please try to show only one issue per screen report. :) We did a lot of work for Plasma 6.2 to improve the behavior of moving widgets between desktops and panels that should fix these issues. If, after upgrading to Plasma 6, you can still experience any issues, please open new bug reports for them — one per issue. Thanks!
