Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.0.3) Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker Compiler: gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-q3 Since upgrading to KDE 3.03 from 2.2, I cannot add any addresses to the addressbook. Trying to add an email address via the 'add to addressbook' popup menu item seems to work, till you try to save the new entry, when it comes up with "Couldn't save addressbook". My addresses from KDE 2.2 were not transferred, and cannot be imported. A saved addressbook file in .csv format cannot be imported, ending up with the "Couldn't save addressbook" message. I have gigabytes to spare in all my partitions, all fields and folders in my home directory are owned by me.

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
