On my ultrawide display the Application Launcher is not centered. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Ultrawide display, floating middle panel with Application Launcher 2. Open the Application Launcher OBSERVED RESULT Application Launcher is shown, centered on the widget/button that is pressed to open the Application Launcher. Just tested on my laptop (1080p), it's off center on that as well with the same configuration
The application launcher opens above its plasmoid in the panel. This is why is appears off centered on your screen. Maybe you could open a feature request to add an option "center the launcher".

It would only default to being centered over the widget if the launcher's width was shorter than launcher widget + icons-only task manager combined.
I guess it's centered on its panel, but in this case it could easily be centered on the screen.
