SUMMARY Entering edit mode for floating panel with "fit to content" width does not show panel config but first on exiting edit mode STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right click on the desktop: Enter Edit Mode 2. Right click on the panel: Exit Edit Mode OBSERVED RESULT The panel config opens. Clicking on Exit Edit Mode a second time actually closed it. EXPECTED RESULT The panel edit configuration always opens, no matter if clicking on the desktop or on the panel OR The panel's context menu reads "Enter Panel Edit Mode" at step 2. Can confirm that it is working that way, and that it intuitively doesn't make sense. When entering edit mode from the desktop, it wouldn't make sense to bring up the panel edit popup automatically for those of us with 2 or more panels since it may not be the panel we want to configure, so your expected result option 2 would be preferable in those cases.
