SUMMARY After opening overview, press the Meta key, the launcher shows in all desktop but doesn't open it. OBSERVED RESULT Application launcher is not launched. EXPECTED RESULT Overview should be closed and the launcher should be opened. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Plasma 6.1 dev beta (Wayland)
This one is semi-intentional. The desktop previews show everything that's happening on the desktop, including anything you opened in the background while Overview was open. It would be a bit odd if they didn't IMO.

Maybe, but there is no usecase of launcher view. We can move windows but not Launcher. And launcher is shown in all desktop << Is this also expected ?
I agree it's not very useful. But preventing it is challenging. The virtual desktop preview is literally a video of what's happening on that desktop. For example if a movie is playing, its picture will update live. So we have no way to visually suppress something from appearing there without freezing the image, which people would complain about. Maybe what we could do is suppress trigger shortcuts of Plasma applets while Overview is open. Then Kickoff wouldn't open in the first place.
FWIW some shortcuts are still useful in overview mode, like shortcuts for switching desktops, and shortcuts for launching applications, and shortcuts for locking/sleeping. So if we were to implement this, it would be very specific to trigger shortcuts of plasma applets...
Right, that was my thinking too.
