Created attachment 165496 [details] Elisa creating a playlist out of nothing SUMMARY The music player Elisa automatically creates a random playlist with when a song is selected from the "Tracks" menu and played. The first song in the playlist is always the same, indicating a predetermined order rather than true randomness. This behavior persists even after reinstalling the program and is unaffected by user-selected options. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Elisa. 2. Navigate to the "Tracks" menu. 3. Select a song to play. OBSERVED RESULT When a song is selected from the "Tracks" menu and played, Elisa automatically creates a playlist with all the songs from the chosen directory, seemingly ordered at random. However, the first song played is always the same, suggesting a predetermined order rather than genuine randomness. This behavior persists regardless of user-selected options or program reinstallation. EXPECTED RESULT Elisa is expected to play the selected song directly from the "Tracks" menu without automatically creating a playlist or altering the expected playback order. The user should be able to play the selected song individually without needing to intervene in playlist creation or change program settings. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.114.0 Qt Version: 5.15.12 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The issue persists even after reinstalling the program and does not appear to be related to user configuration options. The only way to play the selected song is by using the integrated file manager or manually searching for it in the playlist generated by Elisa, which is unaffected by item deletion.
