Created attachment 163285 [details] Unexpanded Tag SUMMARY Treeview wrongly reports number of items NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** When viewing Tags the number of items shown is incorrect if sub-tags are not shown, although it is correct if the tag tree is completely expanded. e.g. I have tags for birds. One tag (Calidris canutus) has been applied to 4 items, however the parent of this tag shows 8 items. When the tree is expanded to show Calidris canutus and its parent Knot each correctly shows 4 items. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Apply a tag which has a parent, which is automatically applied. I don't know whether the same thing happens if the tag and its parent(s) are manually applied. 2. In Settings|Application View Settings|Tree-Views tick 'Show a count of items in tree views 3. OBSERVED RESULT Item count is incorrect if Tree View doesn't show children of Tags, but correct if the tree is expanded. EXPECTED RESULT Parent shows correct total of items which have the tag applied, whether that is the only tag or child tags exist.
