Description Dhruvesh Surolia 2023-11-13 18:00:45 UTC
SUMMARY
No custom shortcuts working. Pre-defined/Default shortcuts work just fine.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  System Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts ->  Select any category .
2. Add a new custom shortcut and apply.

OBSERVED RESULT
Shortcut does not work, even after a restart.

EXPECTED RESULT
Shortcut should work.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0
Qt Version: 6.6.0
Kernel Version: 6.6.1-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-11300H @ 3.10GHz
Memory: 23.3 GiB of RAM

Doubt:
Meta+W used to toggle into and out of the overview, now it just goes in. I have to press Esc to toggle out. Is this intentional behavior or a bug? (Same with the grid view)

Can you clarify what *exactly* you're doing when you say "Add a new custom shortcut and apply."?

This issue was solved when I upgraded my package for plasma-integration due to this issue : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476957.
Although, the desktop grid is still not working.
Was it deprecated and replaced with the grid view?
If it was, it should not be in the shortcut panel.

Sounds like a local configuration issue, hooray!

Make sure everything is up to daye when you test Plasma 6, and that no packages are held back. For other issues, please submit additional bug reports, thanks!
