I have no idea who uses "shift+del" for "cut", as its simply "delete completely". Please remove the default assignment for "cut" as currently you always have to go to "Settings-Keyboard shortcuts", search for "del" and remove it from "file->cut". I think this is pretty basic and annoying. --- Software --- OS: Fedora Linux 38.20230808.0 (Kinoite) KDE Plasma: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks: 5.108.0 Qt: 5.15.10 Kernel: 6.4.7-200.fc38.x86_64 Compositor: wayland
It's an old keybinding used by old people who remember the ancient days of computers. I recall proposing removing it a year or two ago and they all turned up and said no. Maybe in 40 years we can try again. What conflict are you seeing? We can generally solve them on a case-by-case basis, as with Bug 436362.

at least on Fedora the first time on vanilla Dolphin when I try to use this shortcut its says something like "this is not possible as there are two possible settings to interpret that". Thanks for already asking that... But how it is now none of these options work, as there are simply two. So the conflict is that dolphin luckily doesnt do a weird mix of both, but that none of these both options work
