SUMMARY Hi there. Cut (usually on Ctrl+X) and Delete File (usually Shift+Del) has, for some reason, the same shortcut. Cut has Shift + Del as alternative keybinding. If I try to delete a file (with Shift + Del) does it show up a message box, that does tell me about the conflict. I am aware, that this is the case for at least two other people, who are also on Arch. They do not experience the issue, and the system just prefers the delete function to the cut function. OBSERVED RESULT I have to delete the alternative shortcut binding of "Cut" in order to use the "Delete" functionality. By default, I get an error about the ambiguity of the shortcut "Shift + Del" EXPECTED RESULT Delete file when pressing Shift + Del Operating System: Garuda Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.109.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.4.11-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz Memory: 7.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 520 Manufacturer: HP Product Name: HP EliteBook 820 G3

I have the same situation. The Cut shortcuts are set by Qt itself in qplatfromtheme.cpp. Not sure how to solve. We would probably want to unbind the second cut shortcut when plasma starts the first time.
I think I can add to that issue, that Plasma indeed has some functionality, that circumvents the conflict of some double use of shortcuts. One way it is doing that, is by differentiating in which app window the shortcut is called. I ran into another issue, that shows that this functionality seems to be working, and another part of the logic is dysfunctional. I have, on a relatively standard NixOS, observed the following behavior: Screenshot 2 This shows the Ctrl+Shift+S behavior not working out of the box, showing the same error as we saw it with Shift+Del before. In this case, no Shortcut besides the intended one is even configured with this binding. Funnily enough, looking into "Custom Shortcuts" it reveals that no such shortcut is set there as well. But removing all the ticks from the preset "KMenuEdit" and "Konqueror Gestures" solved the conflict. Note, that I reapplied those ticks afterwards, and saved it. Now, the conflict does not happen anymore.

Can reproduce with following: 1. Open system settings -> shortcuts 2. Search shift+del 3. Both file and edit have same shortcut. Edit for cut, file for delete. However, seems on dolphin side, only delete is used by this shortcut. Still, not good, I think shift+del shouldnt be default shortcut for cut.
