Created attachment 160208 [details] Showing toolbar and selected tab SUMMARY The toolbar, footer, and selected tabs are not dark in dark themes, but light text and icons are being used. I am assuming these elements should be dark, but are not on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS 12.6.6. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select theme "Black Body" or any other "dark" theme 2. Shutdown and restart DigiKam OBSERVED RESULT White icons and text on a gray background EXPECTED RESULT Some kind of dark background for toolbar, footer, and selected tabs. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS macOS: 12.6.6 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Which widget style did you choose in the digiKam setup under Miscellaneous-> Appearance? Try the other widget styles available, prefer Breeze if it is available. Can this solve the problem with dark color themes on macOS? Maik
Using the Breeze widget style seems to work around the problem. It was set to Macintosh. Widget style "macintosh" is now dropped from the list in 8.2.0, as it's full of bugs. "breeze" widget style is now the default under MacOS and must be used as well for the best experience. This problem is not reproducible at all with Brezze style. Gilles Caulier
