Description matthias.schrumpf 2023-07-06 08:56:06 UTC
SUMMARY
When using Wayland, application windows will not open in the position on the screen where they were last closed. This is the case on X11 regardless of settings (Window behavior -> Advanced -> Window positioning).
Even if this behavior is intended, there should be an option to always have windows open in the spot where you last used the application.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in to a Plasma session using Wayland
2. Open an application such as Dolphin, Konsole or Kate
3. Move the window to where you want it to be
4. Close the window
5. Open it again

OBSERVED RESULT
The window opens in the position where you opened it the first time.

EXPECTED RESULT
The window should open in the position where you last closed it.
