(In reply to Albert Astals Cid from comment #4) > Works fine for me. > > Can you attach a screenshot of the error you get? @aacid - The error Albert Debney gets is "Puzzle cannot be created: The file you selected is not an image." and he asserts that it is a regular JPG file. The lines of code from 103 to 130 in file palapeli/src/creator/puzzlecreator.cpp are essentially unchanged since KDE4 days, except for the message types changing from Sorry to Error. They involve the use of quite a bit of heavy KDE machinery and do not provide messages for every possible failure. Could it be that the other Albert's installed versions of Linux and KF/Qt simply fail to find or retrieve the file and then conclude that it is "not an image" file?

Hello there! I have been having the same problem for the past 10 days. Palapeli has in general become very buggy here on my EndlessOS Linux. I've tried a few dozen times to create a new puzzle, but surprise, surprise... Palapeli can't show me the folders, and when I enter the path of the image file directly, Palapeli informs me, that the file is not an image or somekind of BS. I can't play this game now, it's become useless. Thanks in advance, for any kind of help

Where did you install palapeli from? This seems a "your distribution" problem more than a palapeli one.

Closing since the original reporter is not behaving himself. This is potentially the same as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474675

I use Endless OS. And I downloaded it directly from you guys through my App Center. I don't have Ubuntu like the original Poster. So it can't really be an 'our' distribution' problem. Everything else... games, programs, etc. works on my computer just as before.
