Description Tobias Schula 2022-11-14 09:02:24 UTC
SUMMARY
After enabling the application-menu button feature of the Breeze window-decorations, the menubars of the different kontact applications disappear. As expected from that feature. However, after disabling the application-menu button, the menubars of all the kontact applications (kmail, kaddressbook, etc.) stay hidden, with no way to enable it back via gui or keyboard-shortcut (Ctrl+M). The only way to enable it back is via the kontactrc configuraton file in ~/.config by replacing every entry "MenuBar=Disabled" with "MenuBar=Enabled"

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable Breeze application menu button
2. Open Kontact, select KMail, KAdressBook, etc. within Kontact
3. Disable Breeze application menu button

OBSERVED RESULT
Menubars stay hidden

EXPECTED RESULT
Menubars reappear
