Description Riccardo Robecchi 2022-10-19 09:15:17 UTC
SUMMARY
I have a dual-monitor setup, with each monitor having its own panel and each panel having its own "disks & devices" widget placed directly on it (so not in the system tray).
This may be related to bug 452007, but after the update to Plasma 5.26 I have noticed that the widget on the secondary monitor's panel does not update the list of available devices, e.g. if I insert a USB key or an SD card in the computer. The new devices are only shown by the widget on the main monitor.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect a new storage device
2. Open the widget

OBSERVED RESULT
The new device is not shown if the widget is on a secondary monitor.

EXPECTED RESULT
The new device is shown.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: KDE neon
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0
Qt Version: 5.15.6

This, Bug 452007, and Bug 450838 are probably all caused by the same thing.
