Description Jonathan Wakely 2022-10-11 09:27:33 UTC
SUMMARY

NM connection editor always prompts to save/discard changed settings when you haven't changed any settings.

This happens for any of the buttons to open additional settings, on the following tabs in a connection editor:

IPv4 -> Advanced...
IPv4 -> Routes...
IPv6 -> Routes...
VPN (openvpn) -> Advanced...

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings -> Connections and click on any active or inactive connection.
2. Select the IPv4 tab then click the "Advanced..." or "Routes..." button.
3. Cancel to close the popup, then click on a different connection.

OBSERVED RESULT

A popup appears prompting "Do you want to save changes made to the connection 'Wired Connection 2'?"

EXPECTED RESULT

If you cancel the "Advanced" or "Routes" dialog without making changes, you should not be prompted to save any changed.
