Description Mohamed 2022-10-04 10:32:17 UTC
Operating system: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS

When I run: "flatpak run org.kde.okular" in the terminal I get the following error:

Gtk-Message: 06:26:27.944: Failed to load module "appmenu-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 06:26:28.018: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 06:26:28.018: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Qt: Session management error: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported

However, the application starts, but it doesn't open PDF files in new tabs, only new windows, unless I use "File > Open" which is cumbersome. I want to open files the usual way.

I found Okular preinstalled with my KDE Neon Plasma 6 so I don't know about installation errors, but I can confirm the odd behaviour described.

Actually today the feature is working as expected, the documents are opened in a new tab though double clicking them.
Might be it that it just needs a system reboot to work?

Looks like this is a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434777
