SUMMARY When launching the program, *two* password prompts appear saying "Administrative priviliges are required to manage disks" instead of the usual one STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run the Partition Manager OBSERVED RESULT Two prompts appear EXPECTED RESULT One prompt appears SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20220702 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION In the first prompt, 'polkit.subject-pid' and 'polkit.caller-pid' are the same In the second prompt, these PIDs are different Both prompts have Action set to 'Run priviliged partition manager helper' and ID set to 'org.kde.kpmcore.externalcommand.init' This is *not* caused by an incorrect password, as password correctness is checked before the first prompt is closed
I can't reproduce it on my system. Might be something to do with OpenSUSE or packaging issue. Maybe you should report downstream bug on suse bugzilla? I only have a single prompt with subject and caller pids identical.
> Might be something to do with OpenSUSE or packaging issue Seems like it, this issue does not occur on Fedora 36
