Created attachment 149237 [details] Ugly-yakuake-wayland SUMMARY *** Yakuake doesn't open from top on wayland session as it does on X11. Worse, when window tiling isn't set to 'centered' on Workspace Behaviour settings, yakuake opens at anywhere possible of the screen. What I've tried: 1) Reinstalling Yakuake 2) Using fresh Fedora KDE installation 3) Booting live Fedora KDE 4) Trying different settings around in Yakuake 5) Trying different themes 6) Selinux enforced/permissive I'm running Fedora 36 KDE on ASUS X555LF i5-5200U+4GB RAM+Nvidia GeForce 930M with all packages up-to-date. What aren't related: 1) Yakuake versions 2) Fedora versions (Fedora prior to 34 doesn't work with Wayland on Nvidia anyway) 3) Nouveau or nvidia proprietary driver However, Manjaro KDE is completely immune to this bug. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Boot a Fedora >= 34 KDE installation, install yakuake. 2. Login to Wayland session. 3. Open yakuake however you want OBSERVED RESULT Yakuake hideously opens anywhere free of the screen (and center of the screen if tiling is set to Centered). EXPECTED RESULT Yakuake beautifully opens & retracts from the center-aligned top of the screen; like on X11.
