OS/Compiler notes: 

I use cups to do printing
I have suse8.0 installed
printing web-pages gives file-dependent
output. Example:
/usr/share/doc/howto/en/html/Majordomo-MajorCool-HOWTO/index.html
works as wanted
same directory x478.html tinies the font by a factor of ~4.
