In the overview mode, one is unable to close virtual desktops directly from there. Clicking on the "Delete virtual desktop" button does nothing & closes the overview

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In system settings, go to Workspace Behavior -> Desktop Effects
2. Scroll down and enable "Overview"
3. Open the overview
4. Create a virtual desktop
5. Attempt to delete the virtual desktop by clicking the "Delete virtual desktop" button

OBSERVED RESULT
The activity overview closes, and the virtual desktop remains

EXPECTED RESULT
The virtual desktop is deleted, and the activity overview remains open

Works for me. Are you on Wayland or X11? Can you attach a screen recording that showns the problem?

For some reason, OBS didn't pick up on the new overview. I'll submit a new video with the bug happening.

I only experience this on Wayland. It's working fine in X.
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2022-04-12 16:01:15 UTC
Thanks for the video. That's quite strange.
Comment 7 Hunter Holloway 2022-04-23 13:56:31 UTC
OK So I did a bit more digging, and I think that it's not a Wayland issue, but rather a Latte dock issue. I have a latte dock on the upper portion of the screen, and it's obstructing my ability to click on the screen, even though it's invisible. This is because if I click on the lower half of the workspaces in the activities overview, I can switch to them just fine, but if I click on one of the upper workspaces, the bug that you saw happened.
Comment 8 Nate Graham 2022-04-25 15:34:39 UTC
Aha! That makes sense. It's the same issue as Bug 444274.
