STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch System Settings and go to System Settings > Appearance > Cursors
2. Select "Get new cursors"
3. Go to the search box and type a cursor name (e.g. aero, dmz)
4. Install a cursor
5. Once it is installed, select "Use" on the installed cursor inside the "Get new cursors" window

OBSERVED RESULT
- Installed cursors does not show up in the cursors menu in System Settings (Only Breeze and Breeze Light)
- Error "Failed to adopt <insert cursor name>" appears when selected "Use" when hovering on any installed cursors in the "Get new cursors" window

EXPECTED RESULT
- Installed cursors shows up in the cursors menu in System Settings
- Installed cursors can be used

Can you clarify whether you're installing the cursor theme using Discover, or using the "Get new Cursors" window that's accessed from System Settings? Those are different things.

I am was installing the cursor theme from the "Get new Cursors" window in System Settings.

Does work if you temporarily change the system language to English, if your language is currently set to something else?
