STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install all current updates
2. Mount a network drive (Mine are from a windows server but others have reported similar issues with other types of network drives)
3. Enable image and video previews in Dolphin
4. Navigate to a folder on the network drive

OBSERVED RESULT
The folder will not show previews of its contents.

EXPECTED RESULT
The folder should be showing a preview with 4 images in its thumbnail.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 N 2022-02-21 13:23:26 UTC
This problem appears to only be happening for network locations, local storage doesn't have an issue. I've tried everything I can think of from uninstalling dolphin, resetting the settings, clearly my thumbnail cache, etc.

The thumbnails for individual files do generate just fine, it's JUST the folder previews that don't.
