Description jkreiner 2022-02-10 09:09:53 UTC
SUMMARY
It should be possible to also switch between activities instead of only virtual desktops.
This way we could also move windows between activities via drag'n'drop.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate Overview effect

OBSERVED RESULT
Only virtual desktops shown

EXPECTED RESULT
Activities also shown, or instead of virtual desktops

Yeah, there was a VDG mockup for an Overview that had activities: https://phabricator.kde.org/T14386

I'm interested in this as well!

Would be very useful to be able to control all this in one place :)

I do not think it is a duplicate.
My issue was that Overview shows windows from all activities, but I only want to see the windows of the current activity, like in the Task Manager plasmoid. I never said anything about switching activities or moving windows between them from the Overview effect, I only want filtering. The two issues are related, and if proper Activities integration is implemented, I would expect that this filtering also happens, but in the meantime, implementing only the filtering would be easier than designing and implementing full Activity management.
