Description francebaciu 2021-12-11 17:23:36 UTC
SUMMARY
***
Doesn't do anything when I try changing the background colour. It just keeps white and will hurt my eyes.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. update Manjaro (stable update 21-12-10) using pacman
2. press ctrl+d in yakuake
3. see an annoying white background

OBSERVED RESULT
Yakuake has a white background and you can't change it. The KDE Theme is Breeze Dark.

EXPECTED RESULT
The background should be black or can be changed in the yakuake settings but changes from there don't have any effect and it's still black.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
 Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro newest
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.32.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.88.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 francebaciu 2021-12-11 17:42:33 UTC
changing the profile worked. Is this temporary?
Comment 2 francebaciu 2021-12-12 09:46:31 UTC
Switching the profile doesn't work anymore and it doesn't choose the default profile anymore. Yakuake is finally broken and can't be used anymore. Also it doesn't go away anymore if another window gets focus.

I fixed that Yakuake doesn't close if focus lost, changed it in the settings. I hate Manjaro lol!
Comment 4 Thibault Molleman 2021-12-15 09:29:58 UTC
I also updated Manjaro and experiencing the same annoying things (white background and no auto close when focus lost)
Comment 5 francebaciu 2021-12-15 09:37:04 UTC
You can fix it by right clicking yakuake the yakuake icon (in KDE) and enable something like close on focus loss or whatever and if you open yakuake and change the profile by right clicking on it it might be temporary fixed too but still, it isn't permanent. The Manjaro developers might've screwed up something..

Confirmed for openSUSE Tumbleweed 20211213 with yakuake 21.12.0.
