Description yizel7 2021-11-02 17:19:40 UTC
Currently Discover checks for flatpak updates every single time you power on your computer and login. This can be multiple times a day for those of us that have that lifestyle. It would be nice for the user to have more freedom and a configuration to change Discover from checking for updates upon ever login to potentially on a specific day in the week, or only once a day, etc

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install various flatpaks. Might be easier with ones that update very fast (like emulators Yuzu or RPCS3)
2. Restart your computer
3. Log in and an update check happens in Discover
4. Restart your computer
5. Log in and an update check happens in Discover
6. Restart your computer
7. Log in and an update check happens in Discover
...

OBSERVED RESULT
Discover checks for an update upon logging in.

EXPECTED RESULT
If configured to only check on say Monday and it's Wednesday, then no update check would happen.
