SUMMARY
Demonstrative video: https://youtu.be/aSk18rl273U
If the partitionmanager is started without knowing the password, it is not possible to close it

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open partitionmanager
2. Try to close it with just the GUI options that you have available

OBSERVED RESULT
You're stuck in an endless loop

EXPECTED RESULT
The program should close after 3 consecutive attempts or when cancel is clicked

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Comment 1 Andrius Štikonas 2021-10-28 00:09:55 UTC
It's not endless loop. It's once per command that partitionmanager tries to run while doing initial scan. That said it's still not user friendly but a bit tricky to fix due to how authentication is invoked by polkit.
