Screen recording

SUMMARY

I am not sure if this is a feature or a bug. Intuitively I'd expected the icons to placed to the nearest free slot, which in the screen recording would always be the same row and the same edge.
It would make even more sense to me if elements could not be dragged outside of the screen at all, which would also solve this "issue".
Is there any usage for this "feature", when there's no additional screen attached respectively there's no usable space outside of the visible area?
