SUMMARY I've reported this bug before, during pre-alpha. You can see it here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434969 I don't know if I should modify the first report, I'm writing a new one because now the glitch happens in a specific way. If the transparency checkboard is NOT visible, everything works perfectly. If any of the transparency checkboard is visible, the glitch may happen. it's random. video showing the glitch here: https://streamable.com/cei9vi The first few times it happened I didn't understand the cause, then I noticed that it's because of the transparency. Semi transparency can also trigger the glitch, even if it's one pixel leaking into the transparency checkers (not visible to the naked eye, unless zoomed in), parts of the image may disappear when you enable the soft proofing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. make the transparency checkers visible, even if it is only a small area 2. activate the soft proofing 3. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I forgot to point out that mirror/flip canvas can also cause the glitch with the soft proofing turned on. I showed it in the video but I forgot to write it in the text
Can confirm.
Can anyone still reproduce this issue (beta2 or newer)? I think I tracked down all issues and all unit tests are happy now.
(In reply to Lynx3d from comment #3) > Can anyone still reproduce this issue (beta2 or newer)? > > I think I tracked down all issues and all unit tests are happy now. I used the Beta 2 and I have been constantly using Next (updating frequently). Everything seems to be working perfectly
Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information.
Perfect, closing this bug then.
