Created attachment 141216 [details] KDE KWin wrong virtual desktop SUMMARY Closing animation of Desktop Grid effect is glitched: it returns to a "wrong" desktop, and then KWin instantly switches to another. Animation target and actual active desktop and dis-synchronized. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Given that user has more than one virtual desktop, and at least one normal window opened, 1. Start Desktop Grid effect. 2. Grad and drop any window from one virtual desktop to another. 3. Cancel/close the effect, NOT by clicking on any of the virtual desktops. OBSERVED RESULT Desktop grid effect may look like it returns (zooms back in) to one desktop, but when animation ends -- it instantly jumps to other. Can be considered a visual glitch which resulted from a broken animation target. EXPECTED RESULT Should not switch desktops when animation ends. Either don't set active desktop to the one that a window was dragged to, or at least keep it in sych with animation's target.
