STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Short summary: Widgets centered in a panel (via spacers) sometimes slightly get shifted and even twitch after when "dynamic" widgets (e.g. the Global menu and Active Window Control widgets) get resized. Full text translation (via https://www.deepl.com/translator#ru/en/) Unstable separator in the taskbar SUMMARY I set the two dividers so that they are on both sides of the widget in the center. (It is important that the center widget does not change its size.) For example, this is a digital clock widget. As a result, the widget is centered, which is good. In addition to this widget, I also have several other widgets around the edges of the panel. They are also in their places, and everything seems to look good. The problems start when I unfold and collapse windows, or change windows. When I change windows, some of my widgets in this panel change their width (like Global Menu and Actibe Window Control). This is normal for them, but! As a result, the widget in the center of the panel, between the two dividers, shifts slightly to the right-left and sometimes twitches. Again, this only works if the widget in the center is the one that doesn't resize. For example, it could be a digital clock. I take it that the problem is that the separators don't immediately react to the width of the widgets, so there is a slight shift. TO REPRODUCE 1. Unfold window which affects resizing widgets (Global Menu and Actibe Window Control) OBSERVED RESULT The widgets in the center of the panel do not move between the two separators. EXPECTED RESULT Widgets in the center of the panel, between two dividers do not move a few pixels and are sometimes twitching. Hello. To me, happens the same thing with the system tray expanding, affecting to the task manager: I've noticed when I turn on the CapsLock and the respective notification icon appears in the system tray, the task manager shakes rather than slide smoothly to the new position to give the icon of the CapsLock enough space to appear. I leave a link from the video of this problem: https://youtu.be/gcwtCbrzOUU . Greetings
Ah, this bug! It's fixed now as of Plasma 5.27.
