That way, we can - multi select them (using SHIFT+LMB, select/deselect) - and copy/paste them (using e.g. CTRL-G-C/CTRL-G-P) - and move them (using e.g. LMB+G) The rationale behind this is with creating thumbnails/model sheets and same guides that will repeat vertically, so that you can add more stuff in the vertical axis based on the originally created "canon" using guides for say your character's body, face or hand or whatever. so my initial idea would be to have a guides layer, which you could copy and paste and thus create new guides layers from, and also have multiple such guide layers. in addition, and while on the guides layer, your can simply drag your mouse to select existing guides (with proper modifiers deselect) and then just copy/cut/paste/delete and move them wherever you like.
Based on their nature of course, whether they are horizontal, vertical or diagonal or whatever shape you imagine.
and, please, why is this bugzilla, still, where other projects have long moved to github/gitlab and whatnot?
alternatively I would like to have guide vector lines/objects, that I can place arbitrarily and copy and paste as such. rendering in the style of standard guide lines. snapping etc.
Because bugzilla works much better when you have to categorize and triage large numbers of reports, many of which are useless. This, by the way, is not a proper bug report either, it's a feature request, and one that does not follow our guidelines for making feature requests: https://docs.krita.org/en/untranslatable_pages/new_features.html
Long time no see. thanks for posting the link for proper feature requests. I had a hard time searching for that in the first place. I will try to make a proper feature request out of this.
