SUMMARY On resolution of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439228 I found several problems with the file system expose plugin. This one reports the inability define a location with the primary location (equivalent to linux root) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. On phone, with title of connection showing at top, select "Plugin settings" from three dots menu. 2. Select Addlocation 3. Navigate up to root / primary file name (which shows name of phone) 4. Click use this folder and then allow in the permissions box which follows OBSERVED RESULT Either a blank location field in the confirmation box which will not let me proceed or primary: as the location, but the link never works. This version happened first and I cannot now see it to reproduce it. EXPECTED RESULT Previous version allowed primary location to be exposed to PC and it worked well. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.22.1 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION kdeconnect-kde version 21.04.2-2.1 in OpenSuse Tumbleweed with all current updates, Dell XPS 13 laptop Kernel 5.12.2-1-default (64 bit)
I also have this problem. I think Android's filesystem handling changed. When selecting a folder, a popup is showed that says that I cannot share that folder "to protect my privacy".

Just come across this when trying to access my phone's filing system with a new computer. A phone where I'd set access up previously still works.
