STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. have a horizontal panel on bottom 2. remove Plasma panel (we see a notification with 'Undo" button) 3. restore Plasma panel by clicking on "Undo" button of notification OBSERVED RESULT Plasma panel appears on top of the screen. Restart Plasma with "plasmashell --replace" and now panel is positioned on bottom as expected. EXPECTED RESULT Plasma panel should be restored to its original position SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.83.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Graphics Platform: Wayland

Maybe it's a Wayland thing. I tested on X11. Will try Wayland soon.

Can reproduce. I use a vertical panel and when I restore it, it appears horizontally centered, right in the middle of the screen!

I cannot reproduce this in Plasma 6. Can you, Patrick? Or even, in 5.27?
Can reproduce with Plasma 5.27.8, cannot with Plasma 6.
